For Kids Become a WebRanger at home and then become a Gila Cliff Dwellings Junior Ranger when you come here! Join us at the Visitor Center on holiday weekends for art activities. Fourth of July weekend (July 1 & 2) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Labor Day weekend (September 2 & 3) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Junior Ranger Program Children age 6-12 can pick up a Junior Ranger booklet at the Visitor Center or Contact Station. Upon completion of the program, the Jr. Ranger is awarded a certificate of completion as well as a Junior Ranger badge incorporating a design showing two birds from the classic black and white pottery of the Mimbres branch of the Mogollon people. Special Junior Ranger Events Would you like a special guided tour of Cliff Dweller Canyon that ends with a Junior Ranger Ceremony? Join us on the second weekend of each month this summer from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to have fun learning about nature and history. This tour is designed for families with children age 6-12.
